Lifeboats since 1990

From January 1990 The Following Lifeboats have been on station in Courtown:

Evaluation lifeboat D333 was on station from January 29th to November 12th


The new station D class lifeboat D412 BP service was placed on service on February 18th 1991. This lifeboat was provided as a result of a gift from BP Oil (Ireland) Limited.


Relief lifeboat D356 was on station from April 30th to October 17th.

Relief lifeboat D417 Douglas Hurdall was on station January 23rd

The new station D class lifeboat D548 was placed on service on July 28th 1999. This lifeboat was
generously donated by Mr and Mrs. Ian Holman of Fermanagh, Northern Ireland.

Lifeboat D412 has been withdrawn.
Lifeboat D548 placed on station.


The new IB1 D Class lifeboat D711 ‘Cairde an Chuain’ was placed on service in August 2009. This cost of this lifeboat was raised locally through various fundraising activities.
